1.Scope and operator
This policy describes personal information handled by Water USA when you browse products, check delivery availability, use an account, save an address, place an order, or email us about a cancellation or delivery problem.
Water USA operates the storefront. Its business address is 13777 I40 West, Amarillo, TX 79124.
2.Information you provide
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, and any name or profile image supplied through sign-in.
- Checkout and saved addresses: recipient name, company if provided, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number, and contact email.
- Receiving details: appointment and equipment selections, such as a loading dock or lift gate, and any delivery instructions you enter.
- Orders and payments: selected products and quantities, order numbers, quoted amounts, freight, deposits, payment identifiers, and payment status.
- Support communications: your contact details, cancellation or delivery-problem reports, and any photos or videos you email to support@waterusa.com, including proof of reported damage.
Checkout information is sent to the storefront as you complete checkout steps, before you submit payment. A guest order also creates or links a commerce customer record; creating a login is a separate step.
Water USA does not store payment methods. Card entry is handled by Stripe's payment fields. The storefront retains transaction identifiers, amounts, and statuses rather than receiving the card number through its own checkout form. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for its processing of payment information.
3.How information is used
Water USA uses this information to:
- Authenticate customers and connect sign-in identities with commerce accounts.
- Display products, check delivery availability, and calculate quotes for the selected ZIP code and order.
- Maintain checkout progress, submit orders, and process and reconcile card payments.
- Display order history and manage saved delivery addresses.
- Control access to accounts and checkout sessions, limit repeated requests, and diagnose service errors.
- Review cancellation requests and delivery problems, examine submitted evidence, and process approved cancellation refunds.
4.Who receives information
We use the following categories of service providers and delivery partners to operate the storefront and fulfill orders:
- Account sign-in providers: handle sign-in and provide authenticated account information.
- Commerce providers: store customer records, saved addresses, orders, delivery details, and related transaction records.
- Payment processors: process payment information and associated billing and transaction details, as described above.
- Address-suggestion providers: Google Places receives address-search text and address-selection requests to provide autocomplete, as described below.
- Hosting and location providers: support website operation and use network information, including IP addresses, to estimate delivery location, as described below.
- Suppliers and delivery carriers: receive customer address and contact information to fulfill and deliver orders.
5.Address suggestions and location
When address autocomplete is available, text entered in the street-address field is sent to Google Places as you type. Selecting a suggestion sends its place identifier and a temporary session token to retrieve the address. This can happen before you save an address or submit an order.
Google's handling of information from this feature is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, incorporated here for the Google Places feature. The related Google terms are linked in our Terms of Service.
The storefront can estimate a city, state, and ZIP code using network-based location information supplied by our hosting provider. When that information is unavailable, your IP address may be sent to an external location provider for an estimate. This feature does not request your device's GPS location.
You can enter or change the delivery ZIP and select a saved address. An estimated location does not replace the delivery address you provide during checkout.
7.Marketing and advertising
Water USA uses the Google tag for Google Ads to measure website visits and advertising performance. The tag sends Google information such as the pages visited, referring website, browser and device information, IP address, and advertising cookie or click identifiers. Google may use cookies and similar technologies for measurement and advertising.
Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's partner-site privacy page. You can manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center and manage cookies through your browser settings.
Water USA does not currently send promotional emails or promotional text messages. If Water USA begins sending promotional emails, each email will include an unsubscribe link, and you will also be able to unsubscribe by emailing support@waterusa.com.
Water USA does not upload customer email or phone lists to advertising platforms such as Google or Meta, and does not provide customer information to other businesses so those businesses can send customers their own marketing.
8.Retention and security
Account, address, order, and payment records are held separately from browser storage. Cookie expiry, signing out, or clearing your cart does not establish when those records are deleted.
Water USA retains order and transaction records indefinitely and has not established a fixed automatic deletion schedule for customer records. Requests to delete personal information are handled by the support team through an existing deletion-request process.
Checkout sessions and order receipts are also saved as private records with our commerce provider so that checkout and receipt pages can recover after an interruption. These records include the contact and delivery details entered during checkout. They are kept separately from saved addresses and order records; removing a login or a saved address does not remove them, and no automatic deletion schedule has been established for them.
When the support team completes a deletion request, Water USA deletes the customer login and removes saved-address and order delivery-address fields, except for the customer's name, city, state, and ZIP code. Order and transaction records remain with those retained address details. Support emails and damage photos are also retained.
The storefront uses server-side account and address-ownership checks and restricted checkout-session access. It records operational diagnostics such as error types, provider request identifiers, and some payment identifiers.
9.Your choices and requests
After signing in, you can add, edit, or delete saved delivery addresses in your account and review your order history.
Deleting a saved address in your account does not by itself change the address associated with a previously submitted order. The support team's deletion-request process and retained records are described above, along with separate browser-storage controls.
To request deletion of your personal information, email info@waterusa.com. The Water USA support team handles these requests.
